Telecom Plus Affirms Full-Year Profit And Dividend Expectations

LONDON (Alliance News) - Utility services provider Telecom Plus PLC on Tuesday said it is confident in meeting its adjusted pretax profit guidance for the financial year that ended in March.

The FTSE 250-listed company said it expects adjusted pretax profit to be at least GBP54.0 million for the recent full year, in line with previous guidance, and said its total dividend guidance for the year of 46.00 pence remains unchanged.

For the previous year, to the end of March 2015, the group paid a total dividend of 40.00p, while adjusted pretax profit came in at GBP52.2 million.

Telecom Plus said its has seen organic customer numbers grow 4.2% over the course of the year, up to 2.2 million customers from 2.1 million customers.

The growth was below the company's original expectations, but Telecom Plus said the performance was solid against a tough market backdrop.

The group said it expects further growth in the current financial year but will provide more detail on its guidance at its annual results, due on June 14.
