(Alliance News) - Tekcapital PLC on Monday said its portfolio company Lucyd Ltd, the smartglass developer, is launching its third line of Lucyd Loud Bluetooth glasses next week.
The AIM-listed education technology investment company said these prescription-compatible, audio glasses offer enhanced sound quality, comfort and style at an attractive price.
Oxford-headquartered Tekcapital explained that the goal of Lucyd Loud is to enable the user to live more freely and conveniently, by making many important smartphone functions available with a simple tap on their glasses.
Lucyd Chief Executive Harrison Gross said: "It is my firm belief that these new smartglasses represent a significant leap over other options in the space, with their superior combination of quality, prescription adaptability and price."
"We are very glad to see the continuous development of Lucyd's products and brand as it seeks to capitalize on its first-mover advantage in providing prescription, Bluetooth enabled eyewear," said Tekcapital Executive Chair Clifford Gross.
Tekcapital shares were trading 2.4% higher in London on Monday at 6.14 pence each.
