LONDON (Alliance News) - Tekcapital PLC said Wednesday that it has raised GBP2.2 million by placing 10.75 million new shares at 20 pence each, money it will use to expand its sales force and to acquire and sell-on licenses for additional university intellectual properties.
Shares in Tekcapital were trading down 5.7% at 20.51 pence early Wednesday.
The placing was conducted by Allenby Capital Ltd and Optiva Securities Ltd.
"The funds raised will enable us to accelerate our strategy with an expanded sales force driving new client acquisition. We are also continuing to see several extremely interesting technologies in the market place that we believe are suitable for out-licence and have the potential to realise significant value for our shareholders," said Chairman Clifford Gross in a statement.
