LONDON (Alliance News) - Technology and intellectual property services company Tekcapital PLC on Monday said it has filed patents in the US for a technology it thinks could be commercialised into a portable energy harvesting device.
The company said Moje is designed to be a small, wearable device which will allow energy to be harvested from everyday activities such as walking, hiking, running and jumping. The energy harvested could then be used to recharge mobile devices.
"Pending successful testing and commercialisation, Tekcapital's Moje could significantly extend battery life though harvesting energy from everyday human activities such as walking, hiking, running and jumping, giving users the power to recharge a battery whilst on the move, which would otherwise run out of power," said Tekcapital Executive Chairman Clifford Gross.
Tekcapital shares were up 5.4% to 45.83 pence on Monday.
