LONDON (Alliance News) - British clothing and accessories retailer Ted Baker PLC Wednesday said it has appointed Lindsay Page as chief operating officer, in addition to his role as group finance director.
Ted Baker also said Charles Anderson will now be finance director of the company's subsidiaries, as well as the company secretary.
"These promotions ... will support Ted Baker as we continue to develop the brand globally," said Non-Executive Chairman David Bernstein in a statement.
The British retailer has seen its business driven by strong trading in the UK and the US, further international expansion, and its online operations. It has held up relatively well in a very competitive trading environment in the UK retail sector.
Ted Baker has been pumping money into investing in overseas expansion, especially in Europe, North America and Asia. In line with its big expansion plans, the company told Alliance New last year that it plans to double the number of stores in China.
Ted Baker shares were up 0.8% at 1,785.00 pence Wednesday morning.
