(Alliance News) - Ted Baker PLC said on Tuesday it has appointed Ari Hoffman to the newly-created role of chief executive of its North American business.
Hoffman was most recently CEO for Scotch & Soda USA, and before that he was president & CEO of US operations at Benetton. He has also worked at Gant USA, Yves St Laurent, Christian Lacroix and Lacoste.
He will join Ted Baker in December.
"The newly created role will help to accelerate Ted Baker's growth in North America, which represents the company's second biggest market," the company explained.
Shares in the upmarket retailer closed 1.8% higher at 484.76 pence in London on Tuesday.
