1st Aug 2019 13:04

(Alliance News) - TClarke PLC on Thursday said it saw double-digit revenue and profit growth in the first half of 2019 following reorganisation.

The building services company said pretax profit for the six months to the end of June rose 10% to GBP4.5 million from GBP4.1 million the year prior, as revenue climbed by 12% to GBP171.3 million from GBP153.5 million.

TClarke declared an interim dividend of 0.75 pence a share, up 14% from 0.66p paid the year before.

The company said it has reorganized into three operating regions: UK North, UK South and London. Both London and UK South have reported strong underlying operating margins for the first six months of 4.3% and 3.8%, respectively.

Its new subsidiary, TClarke Europe is actively tendering Data Centre opportunities in Europe, the company said.

"The board is pleased with these results which demonstrate that TClarke is in excellent shape," said Chief Executive Mark Lawrence.

"Looking ahead, the board is confident that the group will deliver a performance for the full year in line with current market expectations," added Lawrence.

TClarke shares were trading 9.4% lower on Thursday in London at 106.00p each.
