(Alliance News) - Tate & Lyle PLC on Thursday said it has appointed former Delphi Technologies PLC chief financial officer Vivid Sehgal as its own CFO.
Sehgal's appointment as CFO of the food and beverage ingredients firm, effective from May 1, follows news that current finance boss Imran Nawaz is to depart for a new position as CFO of supermarket chain Tesco PLC.
Sehgal will be appointed to the Tate & Lyle board as CFO designate from March 1 and will work with Nawaz over the two months before taking over the role, in order "to ensure a smooth transition".
From 2017 to 2020, Sehgal was chief financial officer at automotive propulsion technologies company Delphi before its acquisition by BorgWarner Inc. Other prior roles include CFO at medical technology company LivaNova PLC.
Tate & Lyle Chief Executive Nick Hampton said: "I am delighted to welcome Vivid to Tate & Lyle and the executive team. He brings with him a proven track record of financial leadership as well as extensive commercial and transactional experience. I very much look forward to working with him as we continue to progress Tate & Lyle's growth agenda."
Shares in Tate & Lyle were up 0.9% at 668.60 pence in London on Thursday morning.
