(Alliance News) - Tandem Group PLC on Friday announced the signing of an exclusive distribution and sales partnership in the UK with the Dutch bicycle manufacturer VanMoof BV.
Tandem, a Birmingham, England-based company, is a designer, developer, distributor and retailer of sports, leisure and mobility equipment.
An initial batch of VanMoof's e-bikes is due to arrive at Tandem's warehouses this week and after a period of onboarding and training the company will begin selling VanMoof's product line up in the fourth quarter. This includes the S5 and A5 models, with more products following in 2025.
VanMoof Co-Chief Executive Officer Eliott Wertheimer said: "Over the last 12 months we successfully managed to build a sales and service network that now spans more than 150 partners across 7 markets. When approaching the UK, we were impressed by Tandem, with its deep expertise and extensive roots in the market. Collaborating with them will allow us to support our riders and distribute our innovative products to a wide audience quickly."
Tandem shares were down 5.6% at 151.00 pence each in London on Friday morning.
