SysGroup Chief Executive Edelson To Resume Chairman Role

LONDON (Alliance News) - SysGroup PLC said Tuesday that it has promoted Chief Operating Officer Adam Binks as chief executive officer with immediate effect.

Current CEO Michael Edelson will resume his position as non-executive chairman, the company said.

Binks joined the IT services company as COO in August 2014 and has been a member of the board since October 2017.

"We are delighted that Adam has agreed to become CEO," said SysGroup Non-Executive Chairman Michael Edelson. "The board has full confidence in Adam's ability to realise the market opportunity for the group as a managed services provider and take it through the next stage of growth following a period of transition."

Binks said: "I am thrilled to be stepping into the role of CEO after having worked with SysGroup for a number of years. This is an exciting time for the company as we continue to expand our managed services offering and deliver on our growth strategy."

SysGroup shares were trading 1.2% lower at 42.00 pence per share on Tuesday.
