SyQic To Host Mobile-Based Courses For ASIA e University

30th Mar 2015 08:08

LONDON (Alliance News) - SyQic PLC Monday said it has signed a deal with ASIA e University to host its courses and deliver educational programmes to its global student population.

SyQic, a provider of live TV and on-demand video content, will host and deliver educational material across its online platforms in order to enhance the student learning experience on mobile devices.

The company said the educational content on its platforms will generate user "stickiness" and derive licensing revenue from a share of the university's certification revenue.

The deal will take effect from March 30 and will be valid for three years.

"We are delighted to have agreed terms with one of the fastest growing graduate schools in Southeast Asia," Chief Executive Jamal Hassim said in a statement.

"The ASIA e University is an instrument for greater Asia wide cooperation and like SyQic is a catalyst in narrowing the digital divide among communities and nations. Together, we are ideally positioned to deliver educational content and a learning management system that is suitable to be delivered over mobile devices," he added.

Shares in SyQic were untraded Monday morning, last trading at 36.00 pence.
