Synergy Health To Invest In Sterilisation Division Expansion

LONDON (Alliance News) - Synergy Health PLC said Wednesday that it is investing GBP18 million to expand its applied sterilisation technology division, a move it expects to raise its revenue by around GBP33 million over the coming three years.

It is expanding Gamma capacity at three facilities in the Netherlands, Germany and the UK to accommodate new contract wins. In Asia, it will expand capacity at its Ethylene Oxide facility in Kuala Ketil, Malaysia.

In the Americas, Synergy will begin constructing a sixth e-beam facility in the San Francisco North Bay area. The new facility is targeted to be completed in April 2015. It has also begun constructing a new laboratory at its existing San Diego facility.

Shares in Synergy Health were trading down 0.7% at 1,409.00 pence Wednesday morning.
