Synectics Wins Security Contract For Jakarta Airport Terminal

LONDON (Alliance News) - Security and surveillance systems company Synectics PLC on Thursday said it has won a won a deal to deploy the Synergy 3 command and control platform at a new terminal being built at Jakarta International Airport in Indonesia.

Synectics will work on the contract with systems integrator Jaya Teknik and will supply an integrated airport security and safety management platform for Terminal 3 at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

No financial details on the deal were disclosed. It had flagged the new contract last month when it put out its full-year results, but hadn't provided any details at that time.

"This is a significant contract for Synectics. It reflects the strength of our proprietary technology offer and specific market appetite for our versatile, scalable and reliable command and control platform, Synergy 3," said Synectics Chief Executive Paul Webb.

"It also supports our global growth strategy and demonstrates both the importance and effectiveness of investing in our Singapore hub to service customer needs and meet global demand for integrated security solutions," Webb added.

Shares in Synectics were up 8.5% to 134.00 pence in early trade on Thursday.
