LONDON (Alliance News) - Surveillance technology and security systems company Synectics PLC Thursday said it has secured a multi-million pound contract for a casino resort in Macau.
The company will be providing security and video surveillance for the resort, which is currently under construction, and said its work will begin on the site within the next few months and be substantially complete by the end of the financial year.
It did not provide specific financial details of the contract with the unnamed client in the gaming industry.
"The investment demonstrates our commitment to existing customers and to the Asia Pacific market as a whole," said Paul Webb, chief executive.
The contract win comes four months after Synectics opened up a new office in Macau, and adds to its portfolio of casino clients in Manila, Singapore, Korea , Saipan and Macau.
"We've built a reputation that is going from strength to strength and this major new contract confirms that our solutions are the preferred choice of some of the region's premier gaming operators," he added.
Synectic shares were up 3.7% to 119.25 pence on Thursday morning.
