LONDON (Alliance News) - Security and surveillance systems provider Synectics PLC said on Monday it has promoted Financial Controller Amanda Larnder as acting finance director with effect on April 19.
She will be replacing Simon Beswick, who is stepping down from the role after seven months since September 2018, to take up a role in an unnamed satellite company.
Larnder has been financial controller at Synectics for four years since 2015 and has been part of the company for since 2012.
Prior to that she was an audit senior manager at 'Big Four' accountancy firm Deloitte for a year from 2011 to 2012.
"I am very sorry that, after such a brief time with Synectics, Simon has been recruited to a unique opportunity that, despite regrets at leaving us so soon, he feels he cannot turn down. He has already made a positive impact on Synectics and his departure is a disappointment. We are nevertheless fortunate to have Amanda as a well-qualified and very able stand-in while we complete the search for a permanent replacement," said Chair David Coghlan.
Shares in Synectics were untraded on Monday, last quoted at 214.75 pence.
