Symphony International Chair Steps Down As New Chair, Non-Exec Hired

28th Nov 2019 14:52

(Alliance News) - Symphony International Holdings Ltd said Thursday that Chair Pierangelo Bottinelli has resigned as chair and non-executive with effect from Wednesday, to be replaced by Non-Executive Director Georges Gagnebin.

Bottinelli - a non-executive since 2005 - will remain at the firm as chair emeritus in order to "continue to support" the business. He will be replaced by Gagnebin, who has been on the board since 2007.

In addition, consumer-focused investment firm Symphony announced Oliviero Bottinelli will become a non-executive director of the firm.

"Pierre has been a great mentor and confidant to me and the rest of the Symphony team," Symphony Director Anil Thadani said. "We are delighted that Pierre has agreed to continue his involvement with the company as chairmen emeritus. We thank him for his guidance and contributions over the last 14 years."

"Together with the appointments of Georges as Chairman and Oliviero as an Independent Director, Symphony and its shareholders will continue to benefit from strong oversight, governance and strategic advice", Thadani added.

Shares in Symphony were 0.8% lower at USD0.60 in London on Thursday.
