LONDON (Alliance News) - Construction and property consultancy Sweett Group PLC Monday said it has appointed Douglas McCormick as its new chief executive officer, with effect from March 2.
The company said that when McCormick takes the helm, John Dodds, currently executive chairman, will revert back to being non-executive chairman.
McCormick has over 30 years' experience in the construction industry, most recently as group managing director of rail at engineering and project management consultancy Atkins UK.
"He [McCormick] has the ideal background and combination of skills necessary to reinvigorate the company and I am looking forward to working with him in taking Sweett into the next stage of its development," said Dodd in the company's statement.
Sweett shares were trading 7.5% higher at 21.50 pence Monday morning.
