LONDON (Alliance News) - Sweett Group PLC, an international construction and property consultancy, said Friday it had bought the operations of Boulter Stewart Limited and would merge them into Sweett Group's business in Thailand.
Sweett said Boulter Stewart is a leading quantity surveying consultancy based in Bangkok.
A quantity surveyor provides advice to the construction industry concerning construction costs and contracts.
Sweett said Boulter Stewart also provides contract administration, project financial services, due diligence and dispute-resolution services. It said the company was established in 1997 by Bob Boulter, in collaboration with David Stewart, each with over 30 years' experience in construction consultancy work in Thailand.
Sweett said its Thai office had worked with Boulter Stewart for the past five years, jointly serving clients such as Merlin Entertainments, Bank of America and Kingdom Properties.
Sweett provided no commercial terms for the merger in its statement Friday.
Sweett shares opened Friday at 36.20 pence, down 0.30p or 0.8%.
