Sutton Harbour Officially Opens Plymouth King Point Marina

27th Sep 2013 12:59

LONDON (Alliance News) - Sutton Harbour Holdings PLC, the AIM-listed marine and waterfront regeneration specialist, Friday said that its King Point Marina in Plymouth has officially opened.

The company began work on the Plymouth King Point Marina in January to install pontoons, a wave protection gate at the entrance to the marina basin, and a shore-side facility building with car parking.

Equity funding for the project was raised by way of a share placing and open offer in January 2012.

"After an active eight months of work to transform the inner basin of the historic Millbay Docks into a first class marina, I am delighted that it is now complete on time, within budget and ready to open to the public," said Chief Executive Officer Jason Schofield in a statement.

Sutton Harbour shares were 1.7% higher Friday afternoon, at 25.69 pence per share.
