LONDON (Alliance News) - Surgical Innovations Group PLC said Wednesday it has entered into a new distribution deal extension after the supplier of reconstruction surgery matrix products secured new European certification allowing sales in the UK to resume.
Meccellis Biotech SA supplies its CELLIS range of products to Elemental Healthcare Ltd - a wholly-owned subsidiary of Surgical Innovations - for distribution in the UK.
On Wednesday, Meccellis announced it had been granted a new conformite europeene mark for its CELLIS products after the withdrawal of the a previous CE mark. This allows Meccellis and Elemental to resume selling the CELLIS products.
In addition, Meccellis and Elemental entered into an extended agreement which provides Elemental with exclusive UK distribution rights. This will run for three years until June 2021. It will then have an automatic two-year renewal should it meet minimum purchase levels.
Surgical Innovations also confirmed its interim results will be released on September 11. Shares in Surgical Innovations were 12% higher at 3.08 pence on Wednesday.
