(Alliance News) - Sure Ventures PLC on Tuesday said Sure Valley Ventures is leading a EUR1.3 million investment round in artificial intelligence security firm Getvisibility.
Sure Valley, in which Sure Ventures holds a 26% interest, invested EUR750,000 in Getvisibility as part of the round.
Getvisibility's software uses artificial intelligence "to discover, classify and protect critical data", with money raised from the latest funding round to be put towards accelerating Getvisibility's "international go to market initiatives".
Following the investment, Brian Kinane - partner at Sure Valley Ventures - will join the Getvisibility board. Ferras Zalt, founder of IT consultancy firm SoftTech and executive chair of Elixxer Ltd, will also join the Getvisibility board.
Sure Valley Chief Investment Officer Barry Downes said: "Getvisibility's software leverages AI to discover, classify and protect critical data. With a world-class team, proprietary technology and given its total addressable market is USD4 billion today, Getvisibility's opportunity is vast. It already has an impressive list of blue-chip clients across various sectors including oil and gas, finance and healthcare, and is growing rapidly. We look forward to supporting the company on its exciting journey as it scales global sales."
Shares in Sure Ventures were untraded on Tuesday, having last closed at 101.00 pence.
