SuperGroup CFO Leaves After Being Declared Personally Bankrupt

25th Feb 2015 07:48

LONDON (Alliance News) - SuperGroup PLC on Wednesday said Chief Financial Officer Shaun Willis has stepped down from the company with immediate effect after being declared personally bankrupt.

SuperGroup said Willis will leave his role as CFO and as a director of the company after it found he was the subject of a personal bankrutpcy order on February 10.

The FTSE 250-listed retailer said the issue is a "personal matter" and it would not comment further, adding it is "wholly unrelated to the financial position of the company".

It said trading remains in line with previous guidance.

Nick Wharton, the former chief executive of Dunelm Group PLC and former chief financial officer at Halfords Group PLC, both retailers, has been appointed to replace Willis.
