10th Mar 2015 09:00

LONDON (Alliance News) - Shares in Sunrise Resources PLC rose on Tuesday morning after the company said it has signed a lease agreement on additional claims and staked further claims at its existing projects in Nevada and said it has generated a new project in the US state.

Sunrise said it has signed a lease agreement on additional claims at the Bay State silver project in Nevada. It has signed the lease with Victory Exploration Inc to lease a further two patented claims, called Battery and Sanchez. The agreement also gives Sunrise the option to buy the claims.

The company added an additional eight claims have been staked at its County Line diatomite project, also in Nevada. Sampling and metallurgical testing is continuing at the site and Sunrise said the initial results from this testing have been encouraging.

In addition, Sunrise said it has generated a new gold project in Nevada, the Junction gold project.

"We are pleased to have increased our ground holding at the Bay State and County Line projects and to be reporting the generation of a new gold project with high gold values from our reconnaissance sampling in an overlooked area of Nevada," added Patrick Cheetham, Sunrise's executive chairman.

Sunrise shares were up 9.1% to 0.3 pence on Tuesday, one of the best performers in the AIM All-Share.
