LONDON (Alliance News) - Sunrise Resources PLC Tuesday said it has recovered diamonds from two high interest samples at the Cue Diamond Project in Western Australia.
The mining firm said 15 small samples were processed from nine drill holes at four separate target areas, with diamonds recovered from two of the target areas.
The diamonds found include a yellow stone, which has not been seen at the Cue site before.
"This is a very pleasing development. The results confirm that the new kimberlite discovery northwest of the Soapy Bore kimberlite is diamondiferous and that at least one drill hole at Area 6 intersected diamondiferous material," said Sunrise Resources Executive Chairman Patrick Cheetham.
Sunrise shares were up 2.2% to 0.4342 pence on Tuesday.
