Sunrise Resources Discovers More Kimberlite At Cue Diamond Project

LONDON (Alliance News) - Sunrise Resources PLC said Monday it has made a second new kimberlite discovery at its Cue Diamond project in Western Australia, and it has progressed a new gold-silver-copper project in the US.

A kimberlite is an igneous rock that sometimes contains diamonds.

The company said the first diamond results from the Soapy Bore kimberlite at Cue Diamond is expected in around four to five weeks. It has completed further geochemical and mineralogical work on drill samples at the site that indicate new kimberlite discoveries, it said.

As a result, it has sent a second batch of samples from the project to Canada for micro-diamond extraction.

At the new project, in Nevada, the company said a grab sample of gossan, meaning the upper exposed part of an ore deposit or mineral vein, contained 6% copper, 3.5 grams per tonne of gold and 4 ounces per tonne of silver.

Sunrise continued progress on its Bakers Gold project in Western Australia, and its County Line Diatomite project. It planning drilling and geochemical sampling at Baker's Gold, and has taken further samples at County Line that are now in testing.

Shares in Sunrise Resources were trading up 8.4% at 0.515 pence Monday morning.
