LONDON (Alliance News) - Sunrise Resources PLC Monday said it has completed its drilling programme at the Cue Diamond Project in Australia and found a narrow kimberlite region at its FW target on site.
The mineral exploration and development company said drilling was completed on budget at all of its targets and it achieved its objective to drill the Soapy Bore kimberlite on site.
The company said one tonne of fresh kimberlite was collected for diamond content and grade evaluation while a narrow 1 metre kimberlite region was intersected at its FW target, with other anomalies at this new target still to be tested.
Sunrise Resources said most drill holes tested targets in a weathered zone, where weathered kimberlite is not easily distinguished from host rocks without further testing.
The company said this extra testing is now taking place and results will be used to evaluate the diamond grade of the sample as appropriate.
Sunrise Resources shares were untraded Monday at 0.420 pence.
