Sunrise Refocuses Drilling After "Bonanza" Grades From Bay State

1st Jun 2015 06:56

LONDON (Alliance News) - Sunrise Resources PLC Monday said it will refocus its drilling programme at the Bay State silver project in the US state of Nevada onto the Chihuahua vein after the latest test results produced "bonanza" silver grades.

Sunrise said the "bonanza values" go up to 4 kilograms of silver per tonne, or 117 ounces of silver per tonne. The average from 18 samples was over 1 kilogram of silver per tonne, or 33 ounces per tonne.

The Chihuahua vein is "now known" to carry high-grade silver over sampling length of 470 metres. The vein remains open to the north and south. Sunrise is now revising its drill plan in the area to focus solely on the Chihuahua vein.

"These are outstanding results. The records of production from this mine are scant but we assume it was very high grade. The confirmation of bedded style mineralisation containing bonanza silver grades, and previously sampled at surface, presents an exciting additional target with excellent tonnage potential," said Chairman Patrick Cheetham.
