LONDON (Alliance News) - Scottish broadcaster STV Group PLC on Wednesday said it has invested in The Scottish Children's Lottery, a new charitable lottery which will launch on October 17 to raise money for children in Scotland.
The Scottish Children's Lottery has been given a licence by the UK Gambling Commission and will run a weekly draw, with the proceeds to be invested in a wide range of local projects supporting children in Scotland.
STV has provided GBP4.0 million of investment funding and initial working capital to the new lottery, which it will be repaid over the next four years.
STV shares were up 2.2% at 388.50 pence on Wednesday.
