StratMin Installs Delayed Equipment, Begins Calibration

7th Mar 2014 10:21

LONDON (Alliance News) - StratMin Global Resources PLC said Friday that it had successfully installed its delayed MechProTech Scrubber at its site in Madagascar, and that calibration of the equipment is under way.

"We are excited that the scrubber is now installed and being calibrated. This is a significant step forward for the company," Managing Director Manoli Yannaghas said in a statement.

The delivery of the equipment had been delayed due to bad weather at the ports of Durban and Port Louis, pushing back first production which the company had planned for February. The equipment arrived at its site in Madagascar February 15.

Scrubbers efficiently process precious and base metal ores, industrial minerals, aggregates, gravel and sand.

Shares in StratMin were trading up 9.5% at 11.22 pence Friday morning.
