Stratex Finds Further Mineralisation At Dalafin Project

19th May 2014 13:46

LONDON (Alliance News) - Stratex International PLC Monday said it has achieved further positive results from drilling on the Faré South prospect at its Dalafin project in Senegal.

The AIM-listed exploration and development company, which focuses on gold and high-value base metals in Turkey, East Africa and West Africa, said the latest results from its drilling include a 10 metre space at 4.31 grams per tonne of gold and a 23.5 metre space at 1.41 grams per tonne of gold.

Stratex said that the results are a continuation of figures from 48 drill holes at the Faré region where most encouraging results have come from Faré South.

The company also said mineralisation at the site has now been extended 500 metres within a northeast trending structural zone, reinforcing the project's potential.

It added that it has now started a high-resolution geophysical survey at the Faré South prospect to assist in planning for the next phase of drilling.

Stratex shares were down 7.4% to 2.80 pence on Monday.
