LONDON (Alliance News) - Drone maker Strat Aero PLC on Friday said it has secured a wind turbine inspection contract with Kansas, US-based electricity provider Westar Energy.
The deal, worth USD26,000 initially to cover 53 turbines in two of the five fields operated by Westar, is Strat Aero's first in the wind inspection and data analysis segment.
It said significant scope exists to extend the deal further to Westar's other fields.
"This agreement follows an extended trialling process and signals a breakthrough for Strat Aero into a significant and potentially lucrative market," said Tony Dunleavy, Strat Aero's chief executive.
