LONDON (Alliance News) - Aerospace services company Strat Aero PLC said Thursday it has launched a wind turbine blade inspection product named WindSpect, which it said brings it into the commercial unmanned aerial vehicle, or drone, market.
The product is collaboration with Air Fusion Pty Ltd. The company said that potential wind farm customers are being sourced by New Amsterdam Global Solutions LLC under their marketing and sales agreement.
"With a programme to test UAV turbine and blade inspection services on a number of wind farm sites owned by major US operators currently underway, I look forward to providing further updates on our progress in due course," said Chief Executive Officer Russell Peck in a statement.
Shares in Strat Aero are trading up 2.7% at 10.40 pence Thursday morning.
