LONDON (Alliance News) - Support services and logistics provider Stobart Group Ltd on Wednesday said it has signed a one-year major incident response deal with the UK's Environment Agency.
Under the contract, Stobart will work with the Environment Agency on helping defend communities in the UK against flooding, including logistics, storage and transport requirements.
No financial details about the agreement were disclosed.
"Last year's floods were devastating for many communities across the UK. I am delighted to announce that Stobart Group will be providing support to the Environment Agency over the next twelve months and utilising our assets to deploy equipment as and when required," said Stobart Chief Executive Andrew Tinkler.
Stobart shares were up 0.9% at 165.00 pence on Wednesday.
