LONDON (Alliance News) - Sterling Energy PLC on Tuesday said it has complete the seismic survey of the high-graded portion of the Ambilobe block in Madagscar.
The 3D survey was completed on time and on budget, Sterling said. It was handled by CGG Services SA, on behalf of the Ambilobe joint venture partners Sterling and Pura Vida Mauritius.
Processing of the data will start shortly and the final processed data is expected by the first quarter of 2016.
"We are pleased to have completed our 3D seismic operations, both safely and efficiently on the Ambilobe block. We look forward to receiving the processed seismic data to build upon our understanding of the sub-surface imaging of the basin which will assist the joint venture partners to determine the exploration activities on the block in 2016," said Eskil Jersing, Sterling's chief executive.
Shares in Sterling were untraded Tuesday, having last traded at 17.33 pence.
