Sterling Energy Non-Exec Chairman Resigns Due To Strategic Differences

13th Oct 2016 15:11

LONDON (Alliance News) - Sterling Energy PLC on Thursday said its Non-Executive Chairman Nicholas Clayton had resigned from the company with immediate effect.

Sterling said two of its non-executive directors, Keith Henry and Malcolm Pattinson, also resigned. All three were leaving the company due to "strategic differences on the future direction of the company", Sterling Energy said.

Sterling Energy said its Chief Executive Eskil Jersing will assume the role of interim chairman, though said it intends to appoint "appropriately qualified replacement non-executive directors in due course".

Shares in Sterling Energy were down 7.3% at 16.00 pence on Thursday afternoon.
