LONDON (Alliance News) - Steppe Cement Ltd Tuesday said its revenue increased in 2014, though the pace of growth was held back by lower cement prices which offset a rise in sales volumes.
The Kazakhstan-based building materials company said its revenue for the year to December 31 was KZT20.9 billion, up 7% on the KZT19.5 billion posted a year earlier.
Sales volumes rose to 1.6 million tonnes of cement in the year, up 18% year-on-year, but the revenue increase was held back by a 9% decline in the average price for delivered cement to KZT12,975 per tonne.
Steppe shares were untraded on Tuesday morning, having last traded at 27.00 pence.
