LONDON (Alliance News) - Stellar Diamonds PLC on Wednesday said it has secured USD228,000 in revenue from the auction of diamonds from the Baoule kimberlite mine in Guinea.
The company secured an average price of USD72.65 per carat from the auction of the diamonds, slightly lower than it has achieved previously, as the parcel was made from diamonds from the smaller Western lobe of the project, which contains lower-quality diamonds than the larger Eastern lobe.
At its auction in March, Stellar got USD91.05 per carat for the diamonds.
Stellar Diamonds shares were untraded Wednesday, having last traded at 6.10 pence.
