Starting Date For New Pets At Home Finance Boss Delayed Amid Probe

1st Apr 2016 12:37

LONDON (Alliance News) - Pet products and services retailer Pets at Home Group PLC on Friday said the joining date of its new chief financial officer has been delayed amid an investigation into his current employer.

Graeme Jenkins was appointed Pets at Home's new CFO in December and the group said his joining date would be announced "in due course".

On Friday, however, the London-listed company said Jenkins' joining date would be postponed following reports of an investigation into supplier payments at Target Australia Pty Ltd, the Australian department store chain where Jenkins is currently the finance chief.

Pets at Home said the joining date for Jenkins will only be finalised once the investigation has been concluded or further information is made available.

Ian Kellett, appointed chief executive earlier this month, will still take on his new role on April 4, as planned. Kellett moves from chief executive of the Pets at Home retail arm and replaces Nick Wood.

Pets at Home shares were flat at 269.1 pence.
