LONDON (Alliance News) - Technology firm Starcom PLC Wednesday said there is "no basis" for a number of stories posted on investor bulletin boards and websites pertaining to a rumoured new contract with Honda Motor Co Ltd, amongst other rumours.
Starcom also shot down rumours over an extension to its recently announced partnership with a Porsche dealership in Germany, and a new relationship with the US Department of Homeland Security over GPS tracking systems, saying they "do not relate to the current business activities of the company."
Starcom says it is in the process of reporting "these attempts to disseminate false information" to the UK Financial Conduct Authority, and is working to have them removed from the sites.
Shares in Starcom closed up 8.0% at 12.15 pence Wednesday.
