Starcom Says Kylos Air Devices Approved For Use On Amerijet Aircrafts

10th Nov 2016 08:53

LONDON (Alliance News) - Starcom PLC on Thursday said cargo transportation provider and Amerijet International Inc subsidiary Amerijet Airlines has approved the use of Kylos Air GPS Tracking Device for air cargo use aboard its aircrafts.

Wireless remote tracking and monitoring products company Starcom developed the Kyros Air products for tracking or close monitoring of high value air cargo, temperature sensitive products and products which could be shock sensitive.

The units switch into "Airplane Model" whilst in the air, but communicate once the cargo exits the aircraft, minimising the amount of time that cargo is not being tracked.

"The approval represents the first step in our relationship with Amerijet and we hope that our collaboration will enable Starcom to access new customers in new markets in due course," said Starcom Chief Executive Avi Hartmann.

Shares in Starcom were up 29% at 3.55 pence on Thursday morning.
