LONDON (Alliance News) - Standard Life Private Equity Trust PLC on Wednesday said its net asset value per share increased in its recently ended financial year.
The trust's NAV total return in the year to the end of September was 13.3% and share price total return was 5.8%.
The share price as at September 30 stood at 345.5p, representing a 20% discount to NAV.
The stock was trading 1.0% lower on Wednesday at 331.14p a share.
As at September 30, the company's net assets were GBP661.4 million, up from GBP599.0 million the year before. NAV per share rose to 430.2 pence in the year from 389.6 pence, helped by net realized gains and portfolio income.
Standard Life Private Equity Trust's portfolio comprises of 55 private equity fund interests.
The company's performance has been driven by a positive flow of realisations, it said. During the year, these realisations totalled GBP127.9 million compared with GBP130.7 million in the prior year.
The trust has proposed a final quarterly dividend for the year of 3.1 pence per share, taking the total payout to 12.4p for the year, up from 12.0p paid the year before.
