LONDON (Alliance News) - Standard Life Aberdeen PLC said Tuesday that Senior Independent Director Kevin Parry will step down from the company's board at the end of December to join Royal London Mutual Insurance Society Ltd as chairman.
Parry has been a non-executive of FTSE 100-listed investment firm Standard Life Aberdeen since 2014.
On Monday, Royal London also issued a statement commenting on Parry's appointment as chairman. He will succeed Rupert Pennant-Rea who will leave the company at the end of 2018 after five years.
Parry, once at Royal London, will lead the search for a new chief executive officer of the insurance group after Phil Loney informed the company that he will stand down by the end of 2019.
Standard Life Aberdeen shares were trading down 2.9% at 222.65 pence each.
