LONDON (Alliance News) - Standard Chartered PLC said all of its Hong Kong branches reopened Monday.
The FTSE 100 bank suspended five branch banking services in part of Hong Kong on September 29 amid the pro-democracy protests taking place in the city.
Government officials and student leaders in Hong Kong entered into preparatory talks on Monday as the pro-democracy protests in the country entered their second week.
Participation in the protests dwindled sharply on Monday, with only around 100 protesters still camped out on the streets. Government workers returned to work unobstructed on Monday and middle schools were reopened.
Standard Chartered shares were up 0.6% to 1,120.5 pence on Monday morning.
