(Alliance News) - Recruitment firm Staffline said on Monday that its PeoplePlus division has agreed a deal to manage the Heathrow Airport's Employment & Skills Academy, commencing in January.
The division will support the airport, Europe's largest by passenger traffic, in implementing its employment & skills strategy and its commitment to delivering 10,000 apprenticeships by 2030.
Staffline's PeoplePlus division is an adult skills & training provider that delivers apprenticeships, adult education, prison education, and skills-based employability programmes across the country.
Chris Pullen, chief executive officer of Staffline, commented: "PeoplePlus has worked closely with Heathrow in the delivery of apprenticeships since July 2019 and are extremely proud to be part of such a dynamic and committed partnership. Heathrow has set out its vision to create a lasting skills legacy and to create up to 40,000 new careers. PeoplePlus' scale and experience means that we are extremely well placed to support these significant commitments."
Shares in the Nottingham-based group were up 0.6% at 107.60 pence in London.
