LONDON (Alliance News) - Staffing company Staffline Group PLC on Tuesday said it has acquired recruiter Milestone Operations Ltd for an undisclosed amount.
Milestone specialises in temporary and permanent recruitment of professional drivers, warehouse staff and industry experts for the transport, distribution, industrial and utilities sectors, Staffline said.
Staffline said it has seen continued strong levels of demand for heavy goods vehicle drivers, combined with a systemic shortage of people with such skills in the UK. The acquisition will complement its existing Driving Plus driving recruitment division and will strengthen its position in the UK, Staffline said.

Milestone is not only an expert in the driving market, which is a key focus for growth, but its culture of training and developing its employees while providing the most efficient services for its clients is a perfect match for Staffline," said Chief Executive Andy Hogarth.
Shares in Staffline were up 0.2% to 1,553.50 pence on Tuesday.
