(Alliance News) - St Modwen Properties PLC on Monday said it has added Sarah Whitney as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
Whitney is a member of the supervisory board of FTSE 250-listed investment company BBGI SICAV SA and was a former executive director of CBRE Group Inc.
St Modwen Chair Danuta Gray said: "I am delighted Whitney is joining the board. She has extensive experience of real estate across the entire life cycle of the industry as well as a strong financial background and experience of governance matters. This, combined with her particular experience helping to forge strong public private partnerships, will add to our collective expertise and strengthen our board."
In a separate announcement, the company said J O Hambro Capital Management Ltd has built a 5% stake in the firm.
J O Hambro's holding in St Modwen prior to the transaction on Thursday was not stated.
Shares in St Modwen closed 1.2% higher at 424.50 pence each in London on Monday.
