St. James's Place Replaces Outgoing Non-Executive Chairman

LONDON (Alliance News) - St. James's Place PLC Wednesday said non-executive chairman Charles Gregson will step down from the role at the end of the year, with Sarah Bates set to succeed him.

Bates, currently the senior independent non-executive director on the board, will take on the role from January 1, 2014.

The wealth manager said Iain Cornish, currently an independent non-executive Director on the SJP Board, will become its senior independent director, taking on the role to be vacated by Bates.

Meanwhile, Wellcome Trust Chief Operating Officer Simon Jeffreys and IG Group non-executive Roger Yates will join the St. James's Place board as independent non-executive directors from the start of the new calendar year, as long as regulators approve of the appointments.

Mike Power, independent non-executive, will step down at the end of the year, but will remain an independent non-executive director on the board of St. James?s Place International PLC, the group?s Dublin-based life-insurance company.

St. James's Place shares were Thursday quoted at 639.50 pence, down 1.6%.
