(Alliance News) - St James's Place PLC on Thursday said it has hired Paul Manduca as its new chair, succeeding Iain Cornish who has been in post since 2018.
Manduca will join the FTSE 100 wealth manager as non-executive director & chair designate on January 1. He is currently chair of insurer Prudential PLC - a role he steps down from on December 31 - as well as chair of Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust PLC. He was previously senior independent director of WM Morrison Supermarkets PLC, chair of trust Henderson Diversified Income Ltd, and a non-executive director of KazMunaiGas Exploration & Production.
"I am delighted that our thorough search process has resulted in the selection of Paul Manduca as our next chair. He has extensive boardroom experience across the financial services sector and his expertise will be invaluable to St James's Place. The board and I would like to thank Iain for his service to St James's Place as chair and as a director since 2011. We have benefited immensely from his wise counsel and guidance during that period," said Senior Independent Director Roger Yates.
The stock was trading 0.4% lower at 1,138.50 pence each on Thursday morning in London.
