St Ives Reiterates Full-Year Expectations As Four Month Revenue Up 4%

17th Dec 2015 09:34

LONDON (Alliance News) - St Ives PLC on Thursday reiterated expectations for its current financial year, as it saw strong trading in its first four months.

The marketing services company said its revenue was up 4% in the four months to end-November compared to the previous year.

Strong trading in St Ives's Strategic Marketing segment helped offset a decline in its Marketing Activation segment caused by ongoing pressures in the grocery retail market, and a slight fall in revenue in its Books segment due to weaker trading in November.

In the Books segment, St Ives said it has yet to see the full impact of the Christmas trading period, although it expects to see "significant incremental volume" in this business from January due to a contract with with Penguin Random House.

Shares in St Ives were flat at 215.56 pence Thursday morning.
