LONDON (Alliance News) - SSP Group PLC on Tuesday said it has secured a EUR180 million contract to run ten concession at Nice Airport in France and said it has struck a deal with the Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group to run restaurants on behalf of the company in a string of European airports.
SSP said it has won an 11-year deal to run ten outlets at Nice Airport. It will take over the operation of two units in the airport's Terminal 1 from February, with additional outlets to be taken over in Terminals 1 and 2 over the course of 2015 and in 2017.
The FTSE 250-listed concessions operator also said it has agreed a deal with Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group, headed by television chef Jamie Oliver, to operate Jamie's Italian restaurants in airports in France, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
The first two restaurants are set to open at Nice Airport's Terminal 2 in 2017.
Shares in SSP were down 0.4% to 281.90 pence on Tuesday midday.
